We provide hour-long, hands-on, 1-on -1 treatment sessions in the comfort and convenience of your own home or in our light and bright clinic space. We are dedicated to performing a full body assessment to find the “why” behind your symptoms. We will never prescribe exercises or treatments based simply on the location of your pain or type of symptoms, but always tailor treatments to your specific needs and goals to help achieve lasting relief.

What makes us different?

FAQs

  • No! In the state of Massachusetts, physical therapy is direct access, meaning you do not need a physician referral or prescription for physical therapy services. Please check with your insurance company to verify if you will need to provide one if you plan to submit for reimbursement.

  • At Uplift Physical Therapy and Wellness, PLLC we are an out-of-network provider. This means that we do not partner with any insurance companies and thus are not restricted by any insurance limitations. Payment is due at the time of services rendered. This model allows us to work for you- not your insurance company. Your sessions will always be be one-on-one for a full hour, with attention focused completely to you and your needs, which the traditional insurance framework does not allow. Upon request, we do provide ‘superbills’, which you can to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement - please confirm with your individual insurance company on their requirements and to find out if you have out of network benefits. See our “services” page for more details on pricing.

  • Uplift Physical Therapy and Wellness, PLLC is considered “non-enrolled” in Medicare, which means we have no relationship or contract with Medicare. While third party Medicare Advantage plans do have out of network coverage, traditional Medicare Part B, Medicare Secondary, and Medicare Supplemental plans do not. Therefore, we do not bill and our clients cannot submit for reimbursement to Medicare Part B or their Secondary Plans. Furthermore, due to Medicare regulations, we are not able to see Medicare beneficiaries for services that would otherwise be covered by Medicare. We would be happy to recommend a local clinic that does accept Medicare!

We are, however, allowed to see you for the following reasons:

    1) Wellness sessions aimed at helping you move better, perform at a higher capacity, and become more resilient to injury or future problems. (Medicare allows you to pay out of pocket for this because services are not considered medically necessary and would not otherwise be covered).

    2) Physical therapy services after Medicare has denied further visits at an insurance based PT clinic

  • All you need is a space where you feel comfortable being treated- depending on your preferences and needs that may mean a private room or it could be a common area of your home. Often times we will bring a treatment table with us, so we need a small space to set up our table and an area where you can do exercises. If you are being seen for pelvic floor related conditions, you will likely will also need to have some sheets and pillows available for the table. We ask to have access to a sink in your home to wash our hands before and after treatment, but otherwise do not need access to other areas of your home.
